This piece implies my impression of Americans, or American way. At the personal level, American people are generally cheerful, kind, sweet and have an amazing sense of humor. At the national level, the US is intimidating with its military power and has violence issues in many directions. I combined those two conflicting ideas in a form of a gift box. I decorated the outside with the heart emoji often used for texting, and inside is brightly painted with sunny blue sky, but there is a toy soldier with a gun. The colors match the American flag.
